Early mornings

This is far too early to be getting up during the christmas holidays. When this photo was taken i had already had a shower, got dressed and done my make-up. If you are wondering why i'm up this early, we are meeting some friends for breakfast at their hotel and evidently they are early risers.
By the way, this is my first post via my phone, sorry if there are any spelling mistakes!

Wooo 100 views!!

I know it may not seem many, especially considering the number of views bigger blogs get. But for me this is amazing, I didn't think 1 person would even bother to consider reading a blog someone like me has made. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you to anyone out there, it is much appreciated.

Rubbish Nail varnish

Hello, just thought I would review this nail varnish I have just put on, it is terrible. My mother bought these little sets of nail varnishes to put in my sisters and I's advent calenders. I tried a silvery-grey one the other day and it was just as bad. She got them cheap from this shop, b&m, so I shouldn't really be surprised at its quality, but anyway, it is not good.

They all look like this, in sweet little bottles, and are really nice colours. This one is a deep pink colour with glitter pieces.

This is what it looked like on after 2 coats, if it had been better quality I think i might have added another coat, but I don't think it is worth it because I am going to have to take it straight off.

You can't really see from this picture because it is all out of focus, but it started moving whenever you touched it, so I could literally just press on it and it would be ruined.

So overall this was terrible nail varnish/polish whatever you choose to call it and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Bedroom Tour?

I was thinking about doing a bedroom tour, but didn't know if that was stupid or not, so I have come to ask your opinion. Any ideas? Let me know.If you have any better ideas then tell me them as well. Thank you.

What's in my bag? Part 3

Hello everyone, so this is the third and final installment of the 'What's in my bag?' posts, thank god. I hope you found it interesting and I'm sorry it has taken me this long to upload this final part. So here we go.
My telephone aka Sebastian. Had him for a year or two. He is often dropped and you can probably see that he is quite chipped around the edges. Poor thing, I know. You can't see from this picture, but the back is currently pink as it came with 3 different colour backs (pink, lime green and white).

These are my tickets from the places I have visited this year, Thorpe Park, Warwick Castle and the London Dungeons. All were really good. I like to keep these as reminders of those days.

And finally, my purse, from Primark, and the cards which it contains. I have always envied people with a purse full of all these colourful plastic cards and now I have begun my own collection. I have my Superdrug Card, my Costa Coffee Club Card, a Zara Gift Card, my drivers licence (I have chosen to hide the absolutely awful picture from the eyes of the world) and now I have a Harrods Card, which is not in the picture.

Anyway, I hope this was interesting and let me know what you think, even if you thought this was a complete waste of time, I will be pleased to get some feedback.

what's in my bag? Part 2

Because the first part of my 'What's in my bag?' post was so long, I decided to cut it into however many parts it takes. I'm not sure if this is really very interesting for readers, so let me know and I will/will not do this sort of thing in the future.

This is my spray hand sanitiser. I am a big fan of the gel ones, but this spray version is so easy to use and just keep in my hand bag, especially when travelling around.

Some sugar sachets I stole from Costa, not that I even take sugar in my tea, but I guess you never know when you might need a pick-me-up.

My Superdrug 'The Little Green Tin', which I would find very hard living without. It is basically just your average Vaseline pot, but with some kind of Aloe Vera component. It is so good, especially at the moment when my lips are really chapped and dry because of the really cold weather. I use it all the time and during the week it lives in my pencil case so that I can use it at school.
My poppy left over from Remembrance day, a little while ago now, so I should probably take it out.

A clean-up wipe for your hands. I think that I got given this the last time I went into a Crispy Kreme shop to get doughnuts. These are always really useful, so I just picked them up to keep. More thievery  this is making me sound really bad.
Some Halls Soothers. Because you never know when a sore throat might strike!

And some random ribbon? Quite nice, but I have no idea where it came from or why it is in my bag.

Almost there, but not quite. So there is still more to come if anyone is interested.

What's in my bag? Part 1

I thought that, since it needed a thorough clean out, I would do a 'what's in my bag?' post and show you all that my hand bag has to offer. I haven't cleaned anything, it is exactly as it was when I took it out, so all you lovely people can see what a messy cow I am.

Well, first things first, this is my lovely bag.

It is officially called a 'Cath Kidston Chelsea Roses Mini Tote' and I love it. I received it for my birthday, I think, last year from my best friend Rebecca. I take it everywhere, as it is such a handy size, not too big to get in the way, but big enough to get a lot of stuff (crud!!) in there, I have even taken it to school a couple of times when I didn't need a folder or any books.

Though when I need to take more stuff, like when I went to London not that long ago, I took my even more lovely 'Cambridge Satchel Company' Satchel, which I got this year for my 18th. You can't really see in this poor excuse of a photo, but it is engraved with 'EJH' my initials, because my mummy and daddy love me.

I know Minstrels are quite a random thing to have in your bag, but I'm not a complete chocolate obsessive, I promise. We went to see the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 2 the other week, for which we were prepared and pre-bought chocolate, because as you well now, cinema food is pretty pricey. Though when the time came, we bought a large popcorn and I had a Costa fruit cooler, so we didn't really fancy them.

Post-it notes we stole from the Oxford Brookes Open Day, always quite useful.

My filofax, which I love and it is so handy. Last year I was completely forgetting some really important things, but now I can write it down.

A House of Fraser gift card I have yet to spend, but I love that shop so I don't think it will be particularly hard.

I know it sounds weird, but it isn't really, I don't think. This is a poo bag. Lovely isn't it. It's for when I take my dog for a walk.

These are my sunglasses, not really appropriate for this weather, and I think that may be a sticker that used to be stuck to the outside of my bag and then disappeared. I think I just found it.

This is a small hand cream tube that I got given by my friend Alice a little while ago. It smells really nice.

Anyway, that it quite a lot for one post I think, so I will be continuing with the rest of the contents of my bag in a few days.

Kidnapping John: In London

John has been spotted in London having dinner at a Spaghetti House. At least we know Moriarty is feeding his captive.

London!!!

On Saturday I went to London as part of my friends' (Lucy and Alice) 18th Birthday Party. We traveled up to London, went to the London Dungeons and then went for dinner at the Spaghetti House after hours of wandering around convent garden and Leicester Square.

Firstly, The London Dungeons, amazing. Absolutely terrifying, but amazing. I am the perfect candidate for this company, mainly because I am scared of most things and I have a rather active imagination. Which equals one easily scared teenager and therefore perfect for this sort of thing. The thing is with the Dungeons is that it is really good at making you jump and playing mind games, though I won't ruin it for anyone who is planning to go by giving anything away. Although I was scared a lot of the way, it was so much fun and really clever.

My friend is going to absolutely kill me if she finds this but I am going to put it up anyway.

Just look at the middle person's face, hilarious, though I won't name any names. I, by the way, am the one in the orange dress on the right. The birthday girls were the second in from each end.

This was followed by wandering around London, including a nose in the M&M shop in Leicester Square, I don' think I have ever seen so many colours of sweets in all my life. Then when we got hungry, endless wandering to find a restaurant with less than 45 min waiting time. We ended up at the Spaghetti House, not sure where, it was dark and I was starving. I had a pepperoni pizza, not going to lie, it wasn't the best I had ever had and they managed to forget my order, which wasn't great. But I did have a lovely time and our waiter was really nice.

Anyway, I think that is all to report.

Golden Eye

On Saturday My friends and I traveled up to London for our friends party (2 out of 3 triplets), I will say more about our day when I get around to it, but in the meantime I thought that i  would show you the eye make-up that i wore that day. I apologise in advance for the appalling eyebrows and photography skills.

I decided to go for a really golden look, since I was wearing orange with my red satchel and I thought that i would go with the autumn look.

First I put Collection 2000, Lasting Perfection, in  the colour Ivory all over my face, when usually I would only use my tinted moisturiser for everyday wear. I have come to love this foundation, when to start with it was bought because it was cheap, so it has turned out to be a wonderful surprise.

I then dusted Rimmel London, Clear Complexion, Clarifying Powder, with my fluffy brush (sorry I'm not particularly good with the professional lingo, so 'fluffy' will have to do) over the top to reduce the shine on my shiny, shiny face.

On the apples of my cheeks I dusted MUA Makeup Academy, Blusher in Shade 3, using the same fluffy brush.

Now for the eyes, the most important part for this look. I don't have any primer, so I didn't use any. First I used the colour Half Baked on the whole of my eye-lid, which is a really strong gold colour (bottom right) from the urban Decay Bamboo Palette from a few years ago. From the same palette I used the colour Twice baked (top right), a really nice brown, on the outer third of my lid. I don't own any brushes so I just used my finger tips for both application and blending.

I then applied my MUA Makeup Academy, Intense Colour, eyeliner in the colour Jet Black, along the upper and lower lash lines and also along the waterline. This is your average pencil eyeliner, but comes with a really handy sharpener in the lid. I created a ever so slight flick on the outer corners of my eyes.

Finally i used my Collection 2000, Pump up the Volume, Waterproof Mascara, on which I am on to my second. I tend to use a few light coats, waiting in between, so that my eyelashes are defined and not clumpy.

The Chop

For a while now I have been umming and argghing over whether to have my hair cut off. You see all these celebrities with short bobs and I  always thought how nice their hair looked, but then you also see celebrities with lovely long locks, so I was caught deep within the clutches of an indecision loop. Today I finally made a decision.

This was how my hair looked before, it was mid-length, chocolate brown and I was still waiting for my fringe to finally grow out. I was so bored of this straggly mass on the top of my head. So I had it all chopped off!

This is how it looks currently. I love it. I feel completely liberated.
Let me know what you think!!

What do you want to hear?

Instead of me babbling on about nothing all the time, I thought perhaps that I would ask you (that is if there is anyone out there) what they would like me to report on and I will try my very best to respond well. Also I would like to complain about the severe lack of commenting that is occurring, as I have had quite a number of page views and not 1 single comment. How am I doing? I would like to hear, in case I am completely awful and should just give up and stop boring you with my life. Anyhow, that is all I have to say for now.

Thank you and please reply, anything will do.

18th birthday continued

My Percy themed tea party (though they had to use Peppa pig plates). This included percy pig muffins, sweets, cake, biscuits.
I thought that I would include this picture of the casual camera woman that is my sister Felicity, lounging on the coffee table, she had to do a vlog for guides.
