Samples: Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted

So this is the new fragrance by Taylor Swift called either Wonderstruck Enchanted or Enchanted Wonderstruck, I'm not quite sure. I got this sample through the post the other day. I usually don't go for celebrity perfumes solely out of principle, but I am not one to turn down a free sample.

I have been pleasantly surprised by this fragrance as it is actually really nice. So don’t judge a book by the cover is what I have learnt from this sample. The leaflet that the sample came with says that it is:

‘An irresistible blend of luscious berries and sugar-glazed petals are wrapped in a touch of sensuality for a captivating signature.’

I’m not sure about whether I get ‘sugar-glazed petals are wrapped in a touch of sensuality’ when I smell it, but it is definitely quite a sweet fragrance and you don’t need that much of it because I think that it might get a little overpowering. Overall I do like this fragrance and recommend that you go and have a sniff next time you are near the perfume isle.

Samples: Elvive Extraordinary Oil

As you may already know, I am currently testing the samples that i have been sent though the post recently. This time I will be reviewing the new Extraordinary oil from Elvive. The sample came in a foil sachet, which you can see in the picture below.

I must say that I was skeptical about this product as I didn't understand how putting oil into your hair was a good thing, when I wash my hair to keep the oil at bay. However, I has willing to try it as so many beauty guru's swear by hair oils like Moroccan Oil. 

The sample comes with a list of ways that you can use the oil received, which is shown in this picture:

My view on hair oil has completely changed. I was able to try out the oil over a number of days, mainly using it as heat protectant. It didn't leave my hair feeling greasy at all and I am considering buying myself a whole bottle. So overall, this product is one that I will definitely recommend to others.

I hate being ill

Just a quick one today to update on what has been happening recently in my life. Since Saturday afternoon I have been stuck in bed with this flu/cold/tonsillitis illness. One minute I'm boiling, the next I'm freezing. My throat is killing me. I can't stand up without feeling faint and the only thing I have managed to eat in two days is a slice of toast. I am a mess. Yuck!

So I apologise for not blogging recently but I have been busy being ill. So now I am going back to bed.
