Gel Nails: The Review

As you may already know, a couple of weeks ago gels put on my nails and then painted bright red. I must say that I got on really well with them. Taking my contact lenses out was a bit of a conundrum to begin with, but you get used to dealing with things like that, just like when you wear false nails. So yesterday I went back to the nail salon to have them filled in and the colour changed. I think that usually you can leave it a few weeks longer, however my nails grow really quite quickly so I was already getting quite a big gap in between the gels and my nail beds, which was particularly obvious because the rest of my nail was red. In that time I did manage to break one nail, snapping off the extension and half of the gel, however I was not really being very sensible and it was my fault. My mother also got a crack in one of hers, but she shut her finger in the door. What I am trying to say is that I believe that in normal circumstances they would have been really durable.

Overall, I really like my nails and would recommend them. However on the nail I did break off, my actual nail was really thin, so I don't want to think about how they will be when I have them all taken off.

So anyway I had them re-painted, but I chose white tips instead. I'm not sure what I prefer at the moment, I think that if the white strip was a bit thinner I would like it better because they would look more natural, which was what I was aiming for this time around. Anyway, let me know what you think.
